Julyza Commodore graduated from Ramon C. Cortines School of the Visual and Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Two days before her graduation, the PLUS ME project visited her school and spoke to the graduating class of 2015.
"This seriously came at the right time! It reminded me that I can do anything as long as I not only work hard, but also stay determined in order to see my goal and overall plans come to fruition. It also reminded me to never give up on what I truly care about."
Julyza is from Newark, Delaware and fell in love with acting at an early age. She now lives in Los Angeles and is currently taking multiple acting classes and auditioning for various roles. Her plan is to attend a community college and earn her associate's degree, then transfer to a 4-year university and earn a bachelor's degree in theatre or psychology.
"I think it is important to do what you love. I know that life is so short and because of that, it's even more crucial to follow your dreams. It's important to ask yourself when it comes to making decisions, "Who am I living for?" I just want people to know that their dreams matter and that they deserve to live a happy life."
Julyza's story matters and so does yours!
