What is Day of Motivation?

Your team has stories that LA students need to hear.

Day of Motivation gives your team the chance to visit a local high school and share their stories—the setbacks that shaped them. The help they needed. The moments they almost quit, but triumphed instead.

Through this 3-hour volunteer program sponsored by your company, your team connects with students (and each other) to give them the spark they need.

How It Works

We handle everything. Your team brings the stories.

  • We match you with a local school on the date of your choosing.

  • We coach your team to develop storytelling skills they can use in any professional setting.

  • Your team shares their stories with students during facilitated classroom panels. Students ask questions, build confidence, and feel connected.

Participant Testimonial

"I felt a stronger sense of connection with both my colleagues and the young people we interacted with...This reflection gave me an opportunity to understand that words are powerful."

— Volunteer, US Venture

Why This Matters

What stories are students telling themselves? What stories might be holding them back?

One teacher told us about a student who was ready to give up on college until she heard a volunteer’s story:

"After hearing the speaker, she realized she did not want to give up her dreams.”

Your story can be exactly what a student needs to hear.
