Educator Storytelling Training Program: Bringing Stories To Life

Help your students build confidence by unlocking the power of their personal story—starting with your own.

Bringing Stories to Life is PLUS ME's new professional development training program that allows educators like you to:

  • reconnect with your own story

  • build community

  • learn a proven framework to strengthen rapport with students from day one

  • leave with tools to make storytelling a lasting part of your work

UPCOMING TRAINING DATES

  • June 17-18, 2026 (Wed+Thu)

  • July 14-15, 2026 (Tue+Wed)

Youth Storytelling Workshops

PLUS ME facilitators guide youth through personal storytelling activities that stem from the curriculum programs we have been conducting in classrooms across the city for the last decade. These activities include self-reflective journaling, anonymous gallery walk reflections, and facilitated conversations. All students receive a copy of PLUS ME’s My Story Matters Journal which was developed as an introspective, story-building tool and won UCLA’s 2019 Social Enterprise Venture Competition.

Adult Storytelling Workshops

Here we guide participants through PLUS ME’s six-step framework on how to build an inclusive storytelling environment where all stories are heard, valued, and celebrated. This provides more information and tools to interested adults so that they can learn how to build stronger rapport with their students, children, neighbors, or colleagues through personal storytelling.

PLUS ME Spark Sessions

Join us for an experience that will spark your passion for storytelling and service. Each 90-minute session gives you a firsthand look at the work that has helped more than 200,000 students build confidence through personal storytelling.
