100 Volunteers: Wisdom Week 2021

Our 100 Volunteers 100 Stories volunteer program is back! Originally, we held the program once a year on Giving Tuesday - this year, we set a goal to expand the program into three separate volunteering campaigns over the 2021-2022 school year.

Wisdom Week was our first campaign, and it was a success! During the week of 9/20/21-9/24/21, we placed relatable role models in virtual classrooms to inspire youth by sharing their stories and life lessons. Each volunteer attended our storytelling training, created a 15-minute story that they shared with students, and participated in peer-to-peer fundraising for PLUS ME. Together, we raised over $8,000 that will help us reach our goal of bringing our programs to more students for the 2021-2022 school year. 

At the end of Wisdom Week, we held a celebration where we thanked all of our wonderful volunteers, honored our top 10 fundraisers, and announced our next volunteering campaign: Giving Tuesday!
