LISTEN 2022

The LISTEN 2022 storytelling event was a truly lovely evening in which our PLUS ME community came together to celebrate the six My Story Matters Scholarship recipients. Each scholar shared a story from their lives to a captive audience who offered back cheers, pom-pom shakes, and enthusiastic applause.

While the evening was intended to celebrate these incredible students and their families, those who had the honor of listening to the wisdom of these six young people were the true winners. From an app that would allow families to save their recyclables on the curb for other low-income families to collect to the critical role of a passionate, multilingual math teacher, the vision these students have for the future is truly inspiring.

As an added bonus, PLUS ME was pleased to surprise each scholarship winner with an award for twice the amount they expected!
