Settings: The Places That Define Us

Settings is all about understanding how our environments impact our development. Home, school, work, and extra-curriculuar environments expose different parts of who we are. This exposure is why settings are important for us to include in our storytelling. Where we spend most of our time can help shape our identity and add layers to who we are. For example, someone who grew up in West Los Angeles may have a different mentality than someone who grew up in East Los Angeles. Our settings serve as one of the foundations to our story and must be explored.

Here are some things you can do moving forward to support your growth:

  • Think about how you can adjust your home setting to bring peace

  • Think about how to adjust your work or academic setting for productivity

  • Think about where you’d live to travel to or live in the future
