Characters: The People Who Impact Us

C.png

Characters represent the people that have influenced your life. They are essential to your personal story. Many characters from your journey have impacted you in a positive way, but there also are some that have impacted you in a negative way. Either way, they have influenced your development and we encourage that you explore these people by reflecting on their impact on your life.

Of course, the most important character in your story is you! It’s important to look at how you develop as a person over the course of your journey and also how you have impacted others. This provides a moment for introspection and allows you to acknowledge some of your personal patterns.

After reflecting on your past, there are also things you can do moving forward to strengthen the characters in your story:

  • Assess your relationships by asking yourself who should remain a friend and who should not?

  • Reach out to the positive influential people in your life and let them know how they’ve influenced you.

  • Create 3 personal characteristic goals that you want to strengthen for yourself:

Ex. I want to be

  1. A better listener

  2. Less judgmental

  3. More assertive
