Timelines: The Moments That Matter

aDSC_1484 (1).jpg

Writing our story can feel like a daunting task when thinking about everything that we’ve lived through. It can also feel like a daunting task when trying to remember what actually happened. A simple tool to help with the construction of your story is a timeline. Starting with your birthday up until the present moment, place tick marks along your timeline to represent memorable moments from your journey. The purpose is not to jam pack your timeline with every occurance, but to focus on those key moments and place them in chronological order.  This will help with organization, accuracy, and breaking your story down into easily digestible chunks.

Moving Forward:

  • Share 3 tick marks from your timeline with a loved one

  • Decorate your timeline, place it in a frame, and hang it on your wall

  • Take the memories from your timeline and provide more details to expand your story.
