Lessons: The Things We Learn

Stories usually end with a lesson, a moment of resolve or a change in perspective. As the most important character in your story, what have you learned thus far? At PLUS ME, we feel it is important to acknowledge how our experiences force us to grow. The intriguing part about a story besides the event is witnessing how a character evolves. Some of you may feel as though you have no meaningful lesson to offer and that is simply not true. If you are alive and functioning in the world, there is something you have learned to make it this far and it’s time to share what that lesson is and help someone else.

Moving Forward:

  • Share your lessons with someone else. Pass along your wisdom.

  • Write down a collection of your life lessons in a journal to reflect on.

  • Use lessons to add to a scholarship application or college personal statement
